Material Donations
Provide assistance in sorting and distributing donations to our various locations. An ideal activity for groups or individuals; volunteers are especially needed in November and December.
Long-term Volunteers
This is for individuals who are looking to make a significant impact by spending three months to a year volunteering.

Tutoring Children & Group Activities
Help JHP children with homework and development skills while they live in our shelter. Lead group activities for children such as art classes, story hour and supervised games and crafts.
Food Services
Prepares dinner and weekend brunches for the residents at PGH – our 36-bed dormitory-style men’s shelter. Ideal for groups interested in volunteering one time or on a regular basis
Special Occasions
Help our participants celebrate a holiday and/or special occasion.

Administrative volunteers assist during the week. Tasks include filing, photocopying and general office support.
Professional Services
Health care, oral health care and mental health care providers, accountants, employee training instructors, research associates and professional groomers..
Adult Skill Development
Help JHP participants either one-on-one or in a group setting with interviewing skills, general people skills, resume writing, mock interviews, nutritional planning and financial/budgeting.
