Scott Perlman is partner at international law firm Mayer Brown LLP. Scott is an accomplished attorney whose work centers on mergers and acquisitions, complex transactions, and antitrust litigation and counseling. Throughout his career, he has advised on mergers across diverse industries, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, petrochemicals, metals, insurance, telecommunications, electronic components, agriculture, packaged foods, and securities broker dealers. He has also guided joint ventures in the healthcare, agriculture, transportation, and entertainment sectors. In addition, Scott has extensive experience in antitrust litigation, including class actions and government investigations involving allegations of price fixing, exclusive dealing and bundling, predatory pricing, and pricing and marketing practices. His thoughtful, strategic approach reflects a commitment to fairness, integrity, and responsible business practices.
Beyond his legal career, Scott is the Founder and Board President of Jobs Have Priority, demonstrating his longstanding dedication to expanding opportunity and economic mobility. He joined JHP’s board in 1988 and also was involved in other efforts to assist homeless and lower income individuals, including as part of team representing homeless advocate Mitch Snyder in his dispute with the National Capitol Police and volunteering at the Federal City Shelter operated by CCNV. He has had a front row seat to JHP’s early struggles to establish itself as well as many high points over the past decade, including a 2017 MLK Day visit from then President Obama to the Naylor Road shelter being operated by JHP at the time. Scott shares triplets born in 1994 with his wife Ruth.
